By installing or using the NoStack Chrome extension ("the extension"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.
1. What NoStack Does
NoStack is a browser extension that allows you to save content from Substack (substack.com and its subdomains) to your Notion workspace. The extension parses page content in your browser and sends it to Notion via their official API using your authorized credentials.
2. Your Accounts
To use NoStack, you must have:
- A Notion account with a workspace where you want to save content.
- A Chrome-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, etc.).
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Notion account. NoStack accesses your Notion workspace only with the permissions you grant during the OAuth authorization flow.
3. Content and Copyright
NoStack saves content that you choose to save from publicly accessible Substack pages to your private Notion workspace. This is intended for personal knowledge management and reference.
- You are responsible for how you use saved content.
- Saved content remains subject to the original author's copyright and Substack's terms of service.
- NoStack does not claim ownership of any content you save.
- If you use the public sharing feature, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the content publicly.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the extension to scrape or bulk-download content for redistribution.
- Use the extension to violate Substack's or Notion's terms of service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the extension's code for commercial purposes.
- Use the extension to store or transmit malicious content.
5. The Sharing Feature
NoStack includes an optional feature that generates a public link to your saved articles. When enabled:
- Article titles, authors, summaries, and links from your Notion database are displayed publicly.
- Anyone with the link can view this information.
- You can disable sharing at any time, which immediately removes the public page.
- You are responsible for the content visible through your public share link.
6. Service Availability
NoStack is provided "as is." We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted availability of the extension or our backend services.
- Compatibility with future versions of Chrome, Substack, or Notion.
- That all Substack content will be perfectly parsed (page structures may change).
We may update, modify, or discontinue the extension at any time.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NoStack and its creators shall not be liable for:
- Any loss of data, including content that fails to save or is incorrectly parsed.
- Any unauthorized access to your Notion workspace not caused by the extension.
- Any damages arising from your use of the sharing feature.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the extension.
8. Privacy
Your privacy matters. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data we collect and how we protect it.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the extension evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state where the extension's creator resides.
